2013 Dacia Sandero Stepway
Discussion
It was £8k on the road. So for that I think it's pretty unbeatable. For something that has the space of this. It's mainly for my wife to use as I already have another car, but I have been known to take this out over mine as it's a bit of a novelty having a brand new car.
You could get a 3 or 4 year old focus or similar for the money, but then you're already 3 years old and into MOT territory.

Yeah it's the 900cc tce with 90bhp, gets to 60 in a claimed 11 secs, which seems about right when driving it.
Took a bit of getting used to as I've always had n/a cars and there is a little lag with this before the turbo spools up, but I guess this is normal with low powered turbo units.
We bought it outright and plan to keep it until it dies, not bothered about resale. Was depressing when insuring it though and the insurance company valued it at £5,200!

My Freelander did the sprint to 60 in 11 seconds so it sounds on par really with many similar cars Yeah it's the 900cc tce with 90bhp, gets to 60 in a claimed 11 secs, which seems about right when driving it.

I think these are great value for money and using older spec parts to keep the price down is a great idea.
The first year the insurance should really value it at its replacement cost or you need gap insurance , taking that hit a few months in would hurt!
