Guys

My young nephew wanted to hear the Aston Fired up in the garage as he loves that explosion and then calm burble of the mighty V12. However, after copious amounts of a certain yellow label fizz, I excitedly went into the garage and started the car forgetting that she is plugged into the mains. Nothing went pop, but do you think it may have caused any damage?

Hiccup!

Thanks all

Should be OK - the conditioner should just "back off" as it sees the current from the alternator at the battery.

You did fine.

I was a right duffus, I started the car then drove it out of the garage, dragged the charger off the wall, pulled the extension lead up the drive, which yanked my MP3 player off the shelf so it smashed on the floor, then pulled the wires out of the charger before I noticed all the racket going on behind me.

So, wrecked MP3 player, ruined charger ranting, but I think the car's battery is OK yes

I was just about to say I've done the same thing as my charger is easy to miss... Never drove off with it plugged in...
Could have been worse - I have the image of the aston pulling down a wall with the charger cable :-)
