can modern tvs record to usb

I seen a tesco television the other day and one of its features on the back was it was able to record tv. I read all the reviews and not one person mentions it.

I then see a samsung tele on argos and it doesent say in the features it records television but then on one of the pictures its switched on and has a recorded tv section.

Do most modern tvs record now? Is it not a big deal or do they probably not record?

My few year old Panasonic does. But it has to be a certain hard drive by a certain manufacture to work.

My Toshiba does but As I have a Humax I do not use the facility.

My Sony does, but don't have a need for it, as I've got BT Vision+, and a Panny HDD (which I don't use).

My LG does but I had to attach my own HD USB drive
