Dont know what to make off her, first impression is mad as a box of frogs, then the odd few seconds of it are utter genius.Ive heard her name banded about before but havent heard any of her stuff. Its crazy at the start but gets a bit better.Lady Gaga on acid anyone??

Lark - or more specifically the operatically trained Inge Beckmann - do something similar with electronic music.

Saw Nina Hagen live in East Germany just after the Berlin Wall fell. Mad, as you have said, as a sack of snakes. The crowd weren't much better.

Sounds like a "FOCUS" tribute band. The track must be a cover of "Hamburger Concerto" from 1974. It's virtually identical. She could easily be Thijs van Leer in drag. But without the sideburns. His vocal style is similarly "different" too.
Not knocking it though.

For comparison..

Nina was a fully-trained opera singer from east Berlin before the wall came down

and instantly was discovered as a great singer, came into contact with a great backup band

and a genius Producer and made some great german rock/new wave Albums in the 80s,

was also friends with Lene Lovich from UK and some punk/ish bands.

Later she went through a phase of obscure wimenz lib world music , toured the talk shows

with her crazy antics/outfits & toy boys and is now doing.......christian Gospel.

Yes, very individual and verging on "mad as a box of full mental jacket".

Has a good looking daughter , fine actor, Cosma Shiva Hagen.

Her backup band later did some good albums as "Spliff" in the short heyday of german new wave.

She's done loads of really good stuff over the years and there are loads of different styles there. She dates back to the pre-punk days.

She's done some crappy mad stuff, but most of it is great.

Quite like that, very Siouxsie and way more mainstream and listenable vs OPs link
