£250 to spend at Evans cycle help!!!

So all the family came together brilliantly this year and bought vouchers for me. I'd asked for this but never had expected so much.

Now I'm in a minefield of choices of things to buy and was asking for words of wisdom so I don't waste it all.

I have been torn between a garmin edge 510 bumble, summer bib tights and various jackets. I've also considered holding onto them until I need to service my bike. Just to many choices, hopefully someone can suggest something that has to be bought

If you don't already have a garmin get that, it'll be the best from your list in terms of being useful, fun, making a difference etc etc. Don't just spend the money on servicing - vouchers are for fun stuff!

Standard PH answer: Put the vouchers towards buying n+1 bike. Another £2000 or so should get you an OK one.

Don't use them for servicing, for 2 reasons:

1. Vouchers should be used for fun stuff you want
2. Evans servicing costs are criminal - find a local small business bike shop to do your servicing.

Or you could use the vouchers to buy a load of tools and a workstand, and learn to service your bike yourself! The gift that keeps on giving!

Funny enough I had come across that same link on amazon a few days before. I did try to see if Evans would price match it but they wouldn't.

I like the idea of a bike stand and tools, although my flat is criminally small. I also have a fairly nice bike in the shap of a specialized roubaix elite. The next bike I'm saving for is circa 6k

I think I may get a garmin edge 510, like others have said vouchers and Christmas presents are more suited for frivolous purchases rather than logic I think
