Currently have my car for sale in the ph classifieds and have received an email from a guy in France that appears to be a trader and is interested. Email being used is contact.ukars@gmail.com. He has asked for pictures and possibility of putting a deposit down before viewing. Anyone else experienced this or something to take caution with?

Cheers

Nick

Someone else asked the question on another forum and went ahead with the deal, seemingly OK

A quick Google reveals what looks like, the trader's homepage?

http://www.ukars.bugs3.com/contact.html

So it DOES sound like it could be legit?

A PH first? Normally, these "is this a scam?" threads are 100% always more scammy than Mr. Scammy McScammerson.

Address details from the website also match the French phone book.

I've sold a car to a trader from malta, took deposit via bank transfer & he collected the car 2 weeks later.
Photos with the reg blanked, & take a deposit via paypal or bank transfer should be ok

If he's sending funds, ensure they clear fully & you can actually see them in your account!
