Rust - the game

Does anyone play this or thought about playing it?

Would be cool if we could set up a PH server for it. I'm gonna get it on steam tommorow.

I've been curious about it but haven't had time to sit and watch a few videos to see what it's really about.

Read that it's not very new person friendly and that you really need people to play with otherwise you're just going to spend all your time being killed by other people. One comment said it made DayZ's player killing seem tame... which is funny given how we used to shoot anyone on site.

Could be tempted to get it if there's some people on here though.... so will take a look myself!

Just downloaded it and it was slow, so think my laptop isn't up to scratch to play this

I would say check your computers specs, but the only serious concern is the 4gb byte RAM requirement - don't forget its still an alpha release.

Thanks, i got 6Gb Ram and a ATI Radeon HD 4200 series GPU, but its integtrated (laptop) so not much i can do to upgrade it

I purchased it today but apparently since the last release it hasn't worked on Mac's (I have 16GB of ram) so waiting for that to be fixed.

I'd be up for getting together on a server for sure.

I can't believe there isn't more discussion on this thread!

I've played DayZ since the early days of it being a mod and I'm a big fan. However, in current states, Rust is so much more fun. The construction element is superb and the combat is pin point accurate as opposed to DayZ's laggy and sluggish engine at present.

There must be PHers on this game! It's the most fun I've had in ages. Anyone?
