206 gti 180 wheels

Saw a rather nice 206 gti 180 with the very smart 17" wheels and 40 series tyres. Given how nice the wheels look I'm guessing they either completely ruin the ride or make it intolerable to drive in a straight line on the local potholed roads - tell me I'm just old, prejudiced and wrong ?!

They do make the ride rather stiff. Don't forget the GTi 180 came out before our roads fell apart so badly.
