After sadly losing Murphy, our fabulous Burmese, in October we've been looking for a replacement. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

We managed to track down a Brown Burmese boy kitten a couple of months back (which is what we wanted) and he's just turned 12 weeks so he arrived just in time for Christmas.

Settled in immediately and after only a couple of hisses between them, has made friends with our other cat Woozle. Woozle has never come across a kitten before and alternates between wanting to 'mother' Maku'e and just wanting peace. Maku'e just wants to play, eat and sleep.

He is the most people-friendly cat we've ever come across. Always wanting to be picked up, and the best bed is someone's knee or shoulder. Not a scratchy cat either - sure he'll use his claws to climb but when playing it's only just pads and paws. A great wee chap really, but difficult to get and decent photos as he's always on the move.

I am the lord of all I survey.

I want attention. Someone pick me up.

Great - now I'm getting some attention.

And with my new-found pal Woozle. Against me Woozle looks like a big cat...

But against old Murphy Woozle wasn't big at all. So Maku'e has some growing to do...but I don't think he's ever going to be Murphy-sized.

I'll have to get some better photos though....

He may be small, but he's the Boss. Already!
