puma central locking

Central locking on the puma stopped working so have put a new battery in the remote but still no joy
Central locking still works on The key so just wondering where the receive for the key fob is located ?
is it passive or is there a power feed to it and what circuit is it on ???

Just had this with a puma I bought yesterday. You need to resync the key, involves turning the key in the ignition from position 111 to 11 and back again so 4 times in 6 seconds, then pressing any key button.

I googled it but couldn't get it to work until I just turned the key until the fog light warning light came on!
