Hi there looking for a point in the right direction please. I'm pretty handy with a spanner and have been servicing and rebuilding my own cars for years, my other half now has a 2012 cooper S auto which is still under the mini warranty. Mini want £149 to do a job that'll take me 10 minutes and £20....... Plus I know it'll be the apprentice that does it and I'll bet a weeks wage we get "needs disks front and back etc" chat

If i do it at home will this jeapordise/invalidate the warranty.?

Any info would be great thanks

I couldn't agree with you more and it would be a hard argument to disagree with. Why not simply ask the Mini garage, perhaps if you used genuine parts supplied by the garage it may be ok? Worth a try...Paul

You need a caliper rewind tool and also need to reset the cbs. This is in theory possible from the cluster, though sometimes diagnostics equipment is needed. You also need a pad wear sensor.
