.... So the next step on my little 10 year plan has been fulfilled. After 20 joyous months with our V8V, the space in the garage has just been filled by a rather fine V12V.
Can't wait for some rather better weather to enjoy it!
Thanks to all your advice Paul
"Can't wait for some rather better weather to enjoy it!" Better weather, really, get in it, drive it and get it dirty Can't wait for some rather better weather to enjoy it!

I have had the same thought over the months I have owned my car, can't wait for better weather to driver her. Well as long as it isn't snowing, or p
g down with rain, get her out and about and enjoy her. So she gets dirty, wash her once every two weeks instead of every week, just leave her dirty for a while longer
So your thread heading is "You are only here once....." I totally agree with you, so if that is your philosophy, you should be out driving her no matter what the weather is (a part from snowing, or p
g down with rain of course I have been out in mine today and she is filthy at the moment

Just enjoy your car, you never know what tomorrow will bring..........

Proper car.
Meaning the V8V he hasd before is what precisely, a pretend car
It is very nice though, as you say we are only here once so hope you enjoy it.

It's a standard back box with quicksilver 200 cell cats. There have been a few V8 owners on here, that have modified their exhausts to get the pop and banging on over run. Can't beat the sound of any V8 on full revs. Yours will be louder than you think Darren, you just need it to overtake you!

I was out following Drew in his V12 Vantage the other day and the noise of the thing is astounding. I think he has had a quick silver back box fitted. Wonderful popping and snorting even at low revs. I wonder if you can make a V8 sound like that.
Hi DarrenFrom one of the recent threads the exhaust on the 4.7 V8 is the quietest one out of the V8,s. Some 200 cell cats would make a difference along with the rear box off a V8VS which is apparently the loudest one.

A V8V isn't a car, it's a toy........a V12 instantly elevates it to a proper car
I understand now, you are one of those kids where the size of his "toy" matters

Happy New Year to you and the rest of the Aston/PH madhouse.
PS As and when I persuade the boss to let me have a V12V I am sure I will be posting the same as you but until then I must champion the cause of the under endowed.
