What soft family motor for £8k or less...?

Yes, another "what car?" thread.

Currently got a 2007 BMW 330i Msport touring.
Love the heated seats, climate control, cruise control, giant sunroof, six cylinder petrol engine, leather, and space.
As I have a 2 year old and 2 dogs I need the space, and living in the sticks I currently use winter tyres but I'd like AWD.
With potholes and country roads I'm getting sick of the stiff suspension though....

So, Volvo V70 XC, Audi Allroad, Subaru Outback, or something more conventional like a BMW X5?

Don't make the mistake of believing that more ground clearance equates to softer suspension and/or better ride. It is often not the case.
