....Lamborghini Gallardo? I had one once and with them both being V10's i was looking to replicate the Lambo noise but all the exhausts on youtube either seem to be too loud or don't give the same Lambo V10 noise.

Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks

Eisenmann

Problem is you can't 'turn' it down.

The Lambo had active exhausts which were perfect.
I know what you mean about the essienamn version, it's too loud all the time!
The Evolve one on youtube sounds a bit chav-does anyone have one fitted? If so does it sound as it does on youtube?
thanks

The Evolve sounds just as good as the Eisenmann with the valves open! Best of both worlds. Most likely get a headache with the Eisenmann on long journeys

Meisterschaft make a seemingly quality system with electronic valve control for adjusting volume levels. Again deep pockets needed

I'm more than happy with the Hayward & Scott I have on mine, they're only back boxes but completely transform the sound of the car. I don't like the Eisenmann systems, too high pitched.

The problem with youtube videos etc is that the sound isn't reproduced too well. Here's a video of when I fitted the H&S boxes to mine. The car was warm so no cold start but this is the 1st sound after installation.

Hope you have good speakers...........

Hope this helps

Depends if your comparing it with a gallardo with a tubi! I'd say a supersprint race for a similar sound

Happy with the Eisenmann on mine: YouTube video

It is loud, sure, but it's not headache-inducing - not for me, anyway.

Sadly a BMW V10 won't sound like a gallardo thanks to the uneven firing interval (90 or 54 degrees). The 5 litre lambo has even firing which makes is sound silky smooth (72 degrees)

I'm currently looking for an Eisenmann Race exhaust for my M5, however there's a 3-4 week wait. Does anyone know of anyone with a second hand system they would like to sell?

Ive have got a M6 with eisenmann Race Exhausts on , and the noise it makes is awesome and you do get a grin coming down the box . But there are times when you need to leave home early in the morning and trust me they are F######### Loud . My neighbours are very good but , I know its beginning to grate on them . And when cold and chokes are on its really loud . Have got the old exhaust still and sometimes I think I will change it back over and then , you've guessed it I Drive though a tunnel A 1 at Hatfield and think God does that sound like a lambo and I pooh pooh the idea of changing back . I can only say look hard for a set as they do complement the whole M car experience and go and find a tunnel and blip it down the box holding your foot on the throttle . Bet you cant stop grinning its very addictive try it .

Tubi for the M6/5. They sound absolutely delicious. I found some of the others a little flat in comparison. This is only my opinion though.

If you have any other exhaust I am not saying it is rubbish, just that of the 3 I have heard live, Tubi, Eisennman, and meistershaft, I liked the last 2, but loved the Tubi.

One of the things I wish the M5 had is the overrun burble I hear on a neighbor's Maserati Gran Turismo when he drives by. I swear he throttles on and off purposefully when he passes my house.

Evolve has added this feature into their tune for the S65 and I believe the S85 is almost ready. No charge if you already have their tune. Not shilling for them as I don't even have a tune yet and I'm sure other other companies will be featuring this soon, but it adds that sound in that the off-throttle S85 is missing.

Muffler delete! Cost me £200 and basically involves removing backboxes and replacing with straight pipes, can be done for less easily if you can weld and have someone that can bend pipes. Plus you get to choose your own tailpipes then.

IMO very loud and intoxicating in a good way, I loved every second of it and it may have been why I was getting 12mpg as my daily for 9 months as that noise was just sublime. Easily reversed mod as well. I still rewatch old videos that give me goosebumps hearing it, was just amazing!

Very loud from outside the car I must say, but with the windows closed etc it's actually very reasonable inside when driving, I use to crank the window open more than often to hear it better. See if you can find an owner local to you? My car sold to someone who sold it on to Wolverhampton

YouTube it, however the sound on YouTube doesn't show you how it is in real life, but the massive cost savings cannot be ignored IMO espically with the poor MPG they have, leaves more ££££ for driving wink

A burble in an M5, oh my that will be amazing to hear. Have a video on the HDD at home of a cold start in the garage and slight revs to think it was 2500 rpm and it sounded like it was burbling,I'll try upload it on the weekend when I have the time!
