Newbie with a couple of q's!

Hi All,
I'm new to this site and relatively new to my Griff 500! (had it about a month now)
I have a couple of questions if thats OK.
First up is oil pressure, when the Griff's in motion I get a reading of around 40-50 above 2000rpm, below that it sits around 30 and when idling it drops well below 30. Is this OK? It has plenty of clean oil in it.
Next is the idle speed, now this is usually fine but every now and again the revs drop really low or sometimes race. Could this be the HT leads need replacing? its a '99 car so the leads are 5 years old.
Apart from these minor concerns, she's fabulous !!!! (check out the pic on my profile)

The oil pressure sounds fine to me.
The idle speed being a bit erratic sounds normal, they all do that sir
Someone is going to say clean the stepper motor - this may improve the idle and its a simple job.
Lastly, have you purchased Steve Heaths 'Bible', its a must have and extremly useful.

Clean the stepper motor.

Right , bible first then the stepper motor (hope its easy as I’m no mechanic!)
I’ve checked the web site for the bible, is the second edition the latest one?
Is it still in print? If not i've seen a few on eBay so may get it from there.

Next question, your going to get sick of me!
Covers, I need an outdoor cover, I would like a folding garage as it is not very practical to have a one that needs drying and folding everytime as........I use it every day!!.
All the folding garages I have found have large hinges so will catch the door when opened. Any one know of one suitable for a Griff?

Just remember that to keep your Griff happy he needs driving frequently.
None of this low mileage rubbish, putting it away for the winter, cobblers.
I drove mine most weeks through last winter (although with care in the wet) and consequently both he and I are happy

Congratulations on buying the best, I've had mine for 3 years and he still makes me smile every time I turn the key.
If you're at a loose end next Sunday, please come down to Sussex for our 'pre winter excursion' only I'm surrounded by bloody Chimaera's.
(I'm hoping to get away with that comment as this is a Griff topic).
