C63 507 Coupe in White?
Discussion
The 18s came on it as std as merc did not have any 19s,
just a well they had engines or they may have fitted a 200 diesel engine and if I had not noticed it would have been my fault!!
I did not realise they were the wrong wheels until a week later and merc uk just said very politely " You bought it as seen, we had run out of 19s, so its down to you dafty for not realising "....
I have tried Merc Uk, nothing, nada, zip
AMG Germany don't see to want to play either according to Merc Uk
My solicitor says fight it but that would be me against Merc, not much chance there then, Bear in mind I have had three new Mercs last year, two I still have, but that will be my last Merc, Its a shame as its spoiling the car for me now and if I sell it I will drop 20k....

I'm not even a little bit surprised by this. I had so many run-ins with MB, (and my car was terrible), I sold my C63 after 4 months...just a well they had engines or they may have fitted a 200 diesel engine and if I had not noticed it would have been my fault!!

Take them to small claims.....it will b far cheaper for them to provide the correct wheels rather than waste time defending the indefensiblejust a well they had engines or they may have fitted a 200 diesel engine and if I had not noticed it would have been my fault!!

Presumably you've got the wheels you were charged for (i.e. they haven't charged you for 19's but only supplied 18's)? That being the case you haven't lost out financially and providing they agree to supply a set of 19's at the optional extra price when they're available I'd say that's fair enough. Personally I prefer the look of the 18's and, as I suspect the car drives better on them as well, I'm tempted to say you've had a lucky escape! However, I appreciate that's not the point and it's very disappointing to hear that Mercedes are playing hardball with such a good repeat customer; hope you get it resolved to your satisfaction! just a well they had engines or they may have fitted a 200 diesel engine and if I had not noticed it would have been my fault!!

That might be a good idea actually....I thought a 507 came with 19's as standard anyway?Either way Merc treating a loyal customer like that is short sighted...

Actually I think you're right; I believe the 18's are a no-cost option on the 507 if you don't want the larger wheels (but they don't knock anything off the price whereas if you upgrade from 18's to 19's on the normal C63 they charge you for the privilege!). However, presumably the OP has a copy of his original order and if he didn't choose the 18's as an option it should have come with 19's end of story - quite disgraceful that Mercedes haven't sorted this as the cost to them for doing so can't be that much? I thought it was.....really does seem odd to me that they would chose to be like that, even if Merc Germany and Merc UK decline what about the manager of that dealership itself?I've always wanted a Merc (long time BMW owner) and this certainly isn't inspiring....

I'm in a similar boat; had BMW's for a number of years, thinking seriously about a Merc for the other half but this sort of thing puts me right off. As you say, for a repeat customer you'd have thought the local dealer would have just sorted it immediately and then agreed a suitable arrangement between them and Mercedes UK after the event; scandalous that they have made AMG's inability to supply the right wheels the customer's problem!I've always wanted a Merc (long time BMW owner) and this certainly isn't inspiring....

Yep very off putting indeed, if the OP is not a highly valued customers to Merc then what is?I certainly wouldn't be, with one new car every 4 year average lol!
This sounds completely wrong
Surely you have the order sheet or order form and that would show if you opted for the 18" wheels or the 19" wheels even if it's a NCO.
I would go and speak to the dealer principal and ask for an explanation, if this doesn't work then alternatively if the car is financed then I am sure you have some alternative rights under the terms of the agreement, I can't remember the terminology but something to do with as described or similar

I the end I gave up, Merc uk did not want to do anything for me, AMG failed to reply..
MERC EDINBURGH ( Willowbrae ) who sold me the car did the best they could but trade price was still just short of £3k...+ tyres of course, So a £1000 a corner...
SO I will keep the 18s and have just bought these...
