I thought I'd post this so anyone who is contemplating a spare set of DB9 wheels for their Vantage is aware that they need spacers. I don't know if this applies to all Vantage models, mine is a MY14 SP 10.

So if you have one of these

And want to fit some of these

You will need some of these

Or the fronts will foul the callipers.

The rears clear ok but I have ordered spacers for the back too to keep it in balance, as it were.

H & R part number 2265681 SW (black) or CR(chrome) 11mm thick. They come with new wheel nuts in black or chrome so ignore the bolts in the image.

I had the wheels powder-coated in graphite, if you do it's as well to tell the coating people not to spray the back of the wheel in the hub area. I had to remove the coating from the inside of the approx 2" dia hole in the centre of the wheel which locates onto the hub before it would seat properly. Not difficult with a Dremmel but unnecessary.

Is it the 6-pot calipers on the newer Vantage that make the difference and does it therefore apply to all new Vantages and all old wheels?

You don't need spacers on earlier models and I guess pre bigger brake versions -I have DB9 15 spoke Diamond Turned on my model year 2007 V8V.

Pete I think you're right. The wheels foul on the upper and lower edges of the callipers. If the callipers were shorter as in 4pot, they would clear.
