Hey MZ fan, cool handle mate.
I owned a TS125 many years ago, loved it and re built it. Re bore, big end. It was my modern BSA Bantom

Polished the engine cases like a mirror. Re sprayed it orange, dropped the bars like a cafe racer, lol.

Hope you've got updated ok.

Oh by the way I was about 35 yrs old at the time, a mate had owned it so I kind of helped him out and he offered it to me as a payment, its main bearing were shot but i really liked the little thing so went about doing a Henry Cole on it and completely re built it, just for fun. Cool bike so it was. It just reminded me of my Yami FS1E moped when I was a lad!

A900 I'm smlilng from ear to ear, I didn't think I'd ever bring that up but yeah I really liked the bike, great for going to the shop on and Sunday rides at 50 mph.

Its insane I know but it had that lovely simplicity about it.

Tiny carb, square tank with rubber pads on it, big shiny cap, I'm convincing nobody but it had character.

Rink a tin tink and all that.

Honest it was polished like a classic. I never took pictures of it!!!

I'm sure I was going through some crisis or other and spending my evenings putting it together was just an excuse to be like a 14 year old again.

I even liked the fat handle bar grips and loose gearbox, I think it had 5 gears!!!!???? It had a neutral between every one of them! The thing really handled, lol, I was into the big headlight and daft things like that.

Come on lads its the new year what's your thoughts, lol.

NZ fan, those 250's were crap, lol lol lol, square engine fins, yuck, only joking.

Well having now checked your profile, any bike with two wheels in your country must be special.

A Tvr in your country, well now your after my own heart.

Excuse my semi drunken state, how many Tvrs reside in your beautiful part of the world, can't be many.

Christ that handle had me letting out terrible secrets but now its out I feel uplifted,

Me and a mate built this a few years back. Still ride it when the energy levels are high enough. It's powered by a 4.4l leyland p76 engine which is stroked rover v8. 3.5" bore and 3.5" stroke. Single speed trans. With a torque converter. Dose a 12.4 sec. 1/4 mile.

What a wicked pair of handlebars, what's in the water round your way, NZ Fan respect man respect, that's outrageous and brilliant at the same time. Do you have a whinch attached to lift it up after youve dropped it!

I feel less odd by the day!

I helped put a 3.5 into a Capri once,but that's way behond.

Fantastic. Your last name Isn't wheeler is it!

The things you uncover on here are truly great.

Thanks Alun not everyone appreciates it but those who "get it" seem to like it. It weighs 475kg but fortunately it will rest on its primary case or crank pulley cover on the other side before its leaning to far to pick it back up. If on uneven ground and it falls over I'm stuffed.

Neville stop making me laugh.

What say 50 miles to a tank of fuel, its the nuts is what it is.

I built a push bike with uni track suspension in 1980 at school as my metalwork project, designed it and fabricated the lot, to a 26" racer frame! Mistake! To thin but it worked and It had chain tensioners and an adjustable shock!
Come on in 1980 most motorbikes still had twin shocks and only crossers had tensioners. 15 years before mountain bikes.

I got the idea from the Kawazaki KX motorcross bike that had just come out so not my idea but to think we all ride bikes with virtually the same design as that today!

Very proud of it I was ,,,,,,,,,,,,, until I tried to ride it that was!

The frame was just not strong enough to take the load but still the teacher loved it as much as me.

I could have been someone you know, lol lol lol lol

That was a mammoth effort Andy. Do you still have the car? And if so how is it going? Any further mods done e.t.c.

Yeah I've still got the orange atom bomb! Its been going great, 30mpg at a steady 75mph on the run to "thunder in the tunnels" back in the autumn, 15mpg on the way home from the back home event at Blackpool biglaugh There's been a few changes but nothing significant, the power steering fluid kept overheating due to the heat soak from the exhaust so I knocked up some heat shields and re routed the exhaust but the exhaust may be altered again shortly just to make it a bit more shouty. I also gave up on using the Bosch 044 fuel pump and fitted the intank pumps from a GT500 to improve the drive ability along with a tweak in the map on a dyno resulted in 517bhp/543lb/ft atw's, there's more if I want it because the maf pegs out by 5900rpm and can't calculate the fuel, so the limiter been set at 5800rpm but with a larger maf and max revs (7500) it should see 650/700! It's a complete handfull now so I'm happy to just make it louder
