Fast food league table

After reading the Nandos Chicken/Cheese mistake thread, what are our favourite Fast Food places ?

For me,

1/ Nandos - a bit in-between a Fast Food place and a Restaurant.
2/ Generic Local Kebab/Pizza place, CHiccken Kebab every time.
3/ Burger King - Generally unpleasant to visit but the Burgers are good
4/ McDonalds - once in a while can be quite enjoyable.

Do Indian and Chinese food emporiums qualify as fast food? I'd say they're more steady eddy rather than quick.

Problem I find is that most fast food places now seem to have more or less identical menus. To the point where it's impossible to tell the difference between them. Chinese and Indian are the worst for this, but it's also starting to be the case for many pizza places and kebab places too.

If you do find one that stands out from the rest, you're lucky.

The one time I visited Nando's near me it was far from been fast too. fking awful st as well.

Burger King BDC or Wasabi's Chicken Curry & Rice.

For me, it's not fast food if you can't have it served up immediately upon ordering, so Nandos is quick but not fast.

For the poster who said that his Chinese and Indian takeaways have "more or less identical menus", are you sure you've not got two Indian takeaways there, one presumably inexplicably staffed by Chinese people?

You misunderstand. I meant that all the Indian takeaway menus are the same, and all the Chinese takeaway menus are the same. Not that the Indian menus are the same as the Chinese menus!

Don't understand how you can hate it, its just chicken covered in sauce so even if its the worst chicken ever you can't taste it anyway.

I prefer my local fried chicken place to KFC, was featured in Undercover Bosses but unfortunately for the Boss, the owner was no longer using the SFC brand or flavourings, unfortunate for him as its excellent.

Not a case of "hate" for me. It's just "meh". If I'm going to eat fast food it should be tasty and/or cheap and/or fast and/or bad for you. Nandos dodges all categories.

KFC would be my choice for chicken.

Fast food generally escapes me these days unfortunately as I live out in the sticks. We only have one curry place that delivers (fortunately very good). Anything else is a 20min journey each way. Which makes nothing "fast". But for me it would probably be :

- kebab (any half decent emporium)
- Burger King
- Dominos (assuming Pizza Express isn't considered "fast food")
- KFC

I think PH is a little unfair on poor old Nando's.

For me it isn't fast food unless the food is sat congealing in a wrapper when you enter. So, MacD's/BK/KFC. I've not had one of those in maybe ten years.

Nando's is a league above along with, say, Pizza Hut, etc. Top of the "Chain League" would be Cote and Zizzi. I'd happily eat in any of them.

There is chicken then there is Nando's "chicken" then finally you have KFC "chicken".
