Does anyone know how to search PistonHeads for specific pages? For example there are about 1700 odd pages on The Lounge and I might want to look at page 1 to see how it all kicked off back then, so how do I do that without clicking 'next page' 1700 times? Am I being thick?

Enter the page number in the little box at the bottom and hit return.

ETA - that only works on the threads.

Change the i= value in the URL of the Lounge to something much higher

Right click on the next link in the lounge and paste into your toolbar

Then change the i parameter to something very big like 50000

That should take you back a ways

Thanks guys. Got the box bit on the thread but not understanding the 'i=' bit. I don't see an 'i=' in the url only an 'h='. I really am ignorant when it comes to this sort of thing!
Why doesn't PH have a 'page search' facility? I can't help thinking anything pre 20 pages will never be seen again unless found on random word searches.

Thanks, but this only works on the discussion and not the category so to speak. For example if I wanted to search the topics discussed on the photography forum, there is no option to do what you suggest. Does that make sense?

Any more ideas with this? How about you lot at PH Towers? After all, you have moved this topic so must have seen it right? Why don't you tell me the answer?!!! laugh

By the way, I've tried changing all sorts of things in the url and the page either remains the same or goes to the next page.
