Can you retrofit centre lock system on 997.1 Turbo ?

Definitely think it's possible to retrofit OEM centre locks to a 997.1. Pretty sure there was an article in last months Porsche Post (PCGB mag) where a guy did just that. Complete hub replacement at an OPC to fit GT2 wheels. No prices quoted but didn't sound cheap!! Replacement discs and pads required if you have steel brakes, fit OK with Ceramics.
Thanks S3N, appreciate the help - good to see it can be done (at a cost but i expected that). Plus one would have to add on labour as well.
Martian, you've helped before on posts so appreciate yours / other reactions as the Porsche CL's have had some bad press, can be a pain to change tires etc due to locking mech and OE tooling.
the reasons id consider was simply because Im torn between getting a Gen 1 turbo Vs Gen II and if i go for the former I really dont like the standard polished wheels and have found a BBS wheel that is beyond nice but centre lock only as its out of the motorsport division (but road approved)
To be honest if i do a rough calculation to do this conversion (not including labour, tires) would be >£8K + so dont think its worth the outlay and may just look at the regular 5 stud hub and choose another wheel.
Shame because the alloy in question are pure class and would really lift a Gen 1 i think - like this:

Have a chat with these guys as they can reproduce copies of just about any wheel and at prices that are very competitive. I myself have used them in the past and can vouch for the quality of their products.

I had my 997 GT2 converted to Centre-Locks by Fearnsport. Have done about 10,000 miles on them now, of which I guess 2,000 has been on track and haven't had any issues. From what I can gather, most reported issues were caused by people in the states trying to change the wheels on their driveway and not Torqueing (sp?) them up correctly.
Most decent tyre shops can work with them too, i.e.: Blackboots in Chesham have always done mine.
OZ and others do centre-lock Porsche wheels in various flavours, so it's not a massive issue.
Personally, if I have my time again and being completely candid, I probably wouldn't bother - but if you have to have that look....

Intriguing that you elect to go to centerlocks..frankly i'd choose 5 lugs...so much easier and rather more effective..
