Can anyone provide a bit of guidance for Sony NEX cameras please? Specifically, what the abundance of suffix letters mean; there seems to be various combinations of B, R, K, N and others which I cannot reconcile.
And why do some NEX 5s apparently come with an EVF and others don't - have they been mis-described on Ebay perhaps?
It might just be my next (used) purchase, but I need to understand what I'm looking for and the Sony website is far from clear...

Wiki says on the 5 there's an optional optical view finder.

There's a model number - 3, 5, 6 or 7.
Then a revision letter - eg 5N, 5R, 5T. Higher is usually newer.
If there is another letter then it is usually the specific lens package. I think mine was a 5NY - the final "Y" means it was the package with the 18-55 and 55-210 lenses included.
Only the 6 and 7 have a built in EVF. The one for the 5 is optional and screws on top (www.sony.co.uk/product/nex-accessories/fda-ev1s)- it should be obvious if it is included, but I think it is pretty rare and expensive.
