Is it critical to have the Chimaera serviced strictly on an annual basis although my mileage this year will be approx 2250? It was serviced at 18,500 miles and is due for it’s 24,000 mile service next month with an estimated 20,750 on the clock.

I've just bought a 450 and looked closely at 5 potential candidates. One of the highest weighted factors I chose to rate each of these on was the owner's attention to the service intervals especially where they were low (2000 to 4000 per annum) mileage cars. My thinking here was that at the low end of this band there was probably a disproportionately high number of short runs and that deterioration of the various lubricating and hydraulic fluids by short running cycles could be significant enough to require regular replacement.

So, from a potential buyers perspective disciplined servicing, in my view, probably does influence the desirability of a car.
