Anybody got a Tassimo coffee machine?

Got a Bosch Tassimo "Joy" machine for Christmas. First time plugging it in today - followed all of the setup instructions etc. which is basically putting a cleaning disc and running it through, but when I try to make a coffee it just comes out cold. Had a look online but can't find anything obvious that I'm doing wrong, just wondering if anybody here had had similar problems?

Its knackered. There is nothing you have to do other than put the capsule in and press the button. Take it back and swap it.

Don't want to sound a cock, but it is plugged in, switched on at the socket and switched on at the machine isn't it? I got Mrs wijit one for Christmas with no bother. Maybe a clean out or double check the fuse?

Got one for Xmas. Turn it on, orange light comes on. Pop in a capsule, green light comes on. Press start button = hot coffee. Your machine sounds kaput as suggested!

Could be broken, only thing I can think of is to check there isn't a protective film or something covering the barcode reader.

About to have one more look before I decide it's definitely broken!

Yes, I had turned it on . I get the orange cup symbol, but have never seen a green one.
