Insurance: auto renewal

If often read on here from various posters things like "the insurance industry relies on lazy people" "always switch provider every year" and iv'e usually always agreed with that point of view. Anyway its renewal time and this year i'm struggling to beat my auto renewal price from direct line so i was just wondering really has anyone ever stayed with the same company through price rather than time and effort. Also any suggestions for cheap insurance would be appreciated iv tryed the usual comparison sites + Admiral, Churchill, Aviva, Sky. Ohh and i'm 23 with a mk1 Leon Cupra, 3 years ncb.

On my last renewal I created a new quote from Admiral which was cheaper than the renewal quote they gave me. Called them up and they agreed to match without any fuss.
