Europe road trips
Discussion
Hey guys, a couple of mates and I (all 21) are planning a Europe road trip this summer and I just wondered if anyone has done this before and where you'd recommend we go. Also what car did people go in?? We plan to buy a car of around £1500, probably a Volvo estate, as its the stereotypical car for guys in their early 20's......
I've done this a few times, it's great fun. The car was an Audi 80 2.8 quattro, probably a bit dated for me to have confidence in suggesting it now, but I can't fault it. I've been to too many countries to list, but I would definitely recommend the Baltic states and eastern Europe, Scandinavia is nice as well, but a bit too expensive.

Me and my girlfriend did about 7 countries last year in a 1.4 MG ZR, it sat at 105mph for over 5 hours on the Autobahn between Munich and Luxembourg - didnt miss a beat and only cost £600.
I agree that a road trip should be unplanned, thats what makes it a road trip.
If we had got hotels booked then there wouldve been the stress of finding them haha.
Bavaria and the black forresst in winter is amazing!
