Anyone own a Ferrari 250 (any variant) and willing to assist an author with a book she has written?

A friend has written the book and has had a publishing deal agreed, but has yet to make final tweeks before it goes to print.

The story centres around the car and a young girl who inherits it from her deceased uncle subject to her undertaking certain obligations with it, otherwise it will be forfeit and passed onto someone else who's lifelong ambition has been to own that particular car.

I've read the book and its a very good read, although it would benefit from the car being described in greater detail as it is central to the whole story.

If there is a owner who would allow the author to spend a hour or so looking at, and talking about, their car and if possible take her for a short drive, it would greatly help her with final revisions.

The author is based in Bedfordshire so any owners who are local would be ideal but not essential.

I have advised her of dealers who either have, or have experience of, classic Ferrari's but ideally she'd like to speak to actual owners as this would be of greater help to her.

Please PM me if you feel you can offer any assistance, Many Thanks.

TT9 - your car collection is truly awesome, and best of all obviously collected from a complete car nut too!

The spectacular coincidence is that I inherited a SWB from an uncle I'd barely met. I'd had happily taken her for a drive, but its new owner in Belgium may not thank me. Wish I'd kept it given current prices.

Book is out on Thursday if anyone is interested.

It is a bit of a chickflit rather than a usual PH read but you may know someone who likes that sort of thing.

Strangely the publisher put a picture of an MGA on the cover...................?

I've often wondered how that panned out, we had a chat about it on a London run not long after you inherited it.

Blurb has some mistakes suggesting no one has proof read it; 'Switxerland' being just one example.
