I ordered a Wahoo Kickr indoor trainer (http://uk.wahoofitness.com/devices/kickr.html) via the Apple store a few days ago and it arrived today via UPS. Going via Apple gave me a small discount through Quidco (3.5% IIRC).
Hopefully this thread will be useful for sharing training advise and technical 'how to' information. I'll add an update once it is rigged up, but here are a few photos to get started:

First update:
Not the ideal start. I set up the Kickr and followed instructions on connection via my iphone. Set away spinning and it was clear that neither the power nor speed were being displayed. I was able to control the resistance through the iPhone in certain modes but didn't have full control.
I emailed the Wahoo tech support team who came back with an update to say that a number of units contain a faulty optical sensor (highlighted in yellow) inside the 'top cap':

They requested my Serial number and also to "register" the Kickr again via the Wahoo Utility iPhone app (to gather some hardware data) and posted out a replacement part via Express UPS. It arrived just one day later, presumably from the US which is impressive.
The pic below shows the replacement top cap with embedded circuit and optical sensor. They sent me a link to a video containing instructions for fitting. It was a 2 minute job which involved removing the old top, popping out two cable and reconnecting to the replacement top cap.

With this installed I performed a 'spin down' calibration and was good to go. I had a quick play to check that speed and power were being displayed and also that I could control the Kickr fully via the different modes. Managed an average of 150W average and Max of 450W from a few quick bursts.
I will post another updated after my first proper session. All in all a frustrating start to ownership but I was impressed with their speedy response.

I also have a Kickr and have trouble with the speed/power registering on the iPhone app. Trying to calibrate the thing is nearly impossible and a workout in itself.
I have emailed Wahoo about the issue, just waiting for a response but it looks likely I will need a new top cap too.
Yup, sounds like it. Once confirmed they will ship one out immediately.I have emailed Wahoo about the issue, just waiting for a response but it looks likely I will need a new top cap too.
First proper session today and I decided to do a 2x20m session. I didn't go all-out as I pulled my hamstring at the weekend but the PIC below shows my power during the session. Notice the consistent power - this was done by setting the power level via the IPhone app which maintains that level whatever cadence you're at.
First 20m block I set to 200W and the second was set to 210W with 5 minutes at 215 then 220W.
I am planning to do an FTP test soon, using the Rubber Glove Sufferfest video as a guide. Based on today's session I reckon my all-out 20 minute effort will be in the region of 230W, but we'll see.

Great to see you're back up and running with this. I had an issue with my KICKR last eek and within 3 days I had a nice shiny new replacement, so I can only applaud their customer service.
Have fun with the Rubber Glove! I did that last week after completing the 10 week Intermediate Sufferfest Plan. I thought I was going to chuck during the last few minutes of the 20 minute all out effort
