Police cost me 2 Hours Wages!
Discussion
we had a fire in the wood Factory next door to where I| work, the Police closed the roads leading to my workplace!, they said I had to go home and ring work telling them what they had said!, our Company agreed to pay me some of the lost time!, however I still lost 2 hours pay by following the Police's advice!, some of my work mates made it in as they take a different route to work!, point is, I obeyed the Law and as such was penalised for it!, can I claim the lost money from the Police on their innacurate information?, (innacurate in so much as my mates got in to work!), should I have ignored the advice of the Police and gone through their barriers to work!), principal here is, I was Law abidng and it cost me 2 hours pay!, moral here is, tell them to f**K off and no loss of pay?

Fire in a wood "place" is extremely dangerous.
I believe you should be think yourself lucky to be alive.
Once you have done that and then thought about the causes of the accident, then you should - rather than crying on here about how badly you were treated - thank the sweet lord you still can.

know what you are saying, but fact remains that our "Management" docked our wages for it! and as such I have got into debt again! not my faukt either this time!
So your quibble is with your management rather than the police.
If your wages have been unlawfully withheld, then you will also get any charges back that you have incurred.
Although, from what you have described, I doubt the police are at fault. More likely to be your sweeper-upper, actually......
Frankly, I am astonished at some of the contributor's comments to safetyfirst. Sounds like a legitimate complaint as far as I'm concerned.
For what it's worth, I think he is on a hiding to nothing and will just have to bite the bullet; but comments such as 'you're lucky to be alive', 'stop surfing the internet' and 'stop whinging' are not constructive.
safetyfirst, I sympathise, but I reckon there's very little you can do about it. In the past, and knowing how difficult it can be to make ends-meet, I would have taken this further too. Not much else to add really.

He missed two hours work and got his pay docked. Time to get on with the rest of your life than trying to sue the Old Bill for a few bob, I feel.
Be lucky he wasn't burnt to death. If wood dust goes up you get a fireball.
Perhaps they weren't real policemen.
When the fair comes to town they try to "manage" the traffic into a through traffic lane and one for the fair. If you aren't through traffic but want to get somewhere next to the fair - tough - you're going into the fair car park!
.
Once had my access blocked to somewhere by an accident. I could see where I wanted to get to, but wasn't allowed to walk there, I had to drive round miles of country lanes guessing where to turn, making lots of mistakes, before finally eventually ending up at the junction at the other side of the accident and my destination. Guess what, yup - the roads blocked by an accident, I can't get through (despite the accident being on the other side to my destination!) and I have to drive to the other side. But I've just been told... But the law's the law!
Oh, and guess what, despite my not being able to walk past the accident, the kids I was picking up from a club in the middle of the country could walk past it and wait by the side of the road in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night!
Perhaps they were real policemen after all!
