As ever, I have been thinking what my garage should look like over the next few years and therefore what cars to change and what to replace them with.

Currently I am lucky to have a 1999 UKDM Integra R worth £3k max, a Caterham Superlight worth maybe £15k and an Elise 160 worth £13k or so. They all have their uses and being someone who enjoys my cars on the road and for whom feel, balance and ultimate fun are the most important things, I truly love them all.

Problem is that I feel I have hit the zenith and any change is somehow a downgrade. Nice position to be in, however also perhaps somewhat frustrating.

I have been thinking about a faster Seven however feel I may lose the chassis balance and ultimate on road exploitability of my current car. Likewise, I have almost decided to swap the Honda for a BMW, however know any 3 Series will lack focus and sense of occassion next to the ITR.

I will get a GT3 in the next couple of years (not sure if it will be a replacement or addition) but am thinking that I may just be tinkering and any change is just throwing cash away for no obvious gain and in some respects, perhaps a step back. Perhaps I will gain more satisfaction from a few driving courses and being able to really drive what I have rather than spend extra money on new cars?

Anyone else completely satisfied with their garage?

Completely satisfied? No, it has its flaws. However, there is nothing on the market that would suit my needs and preferences better.

Sounds intersting. I see you have an Elise but any thoughts about "upgrading" e.g. to a SC or Exige for instance? Or does your specific car suit your needs better than a different model?

Completely satisfied? Yes pretty much. What else could I be driving for £500 that is anywhere near as nice to be in, to drive or to look at? It only ever seems to get good comments to on how 'posh' it feels to be in.

OP, the answer is a sheddy Jag wink

I have never driven my Elise and wanted more power.

I can't stand the brakes on the Toyota powered cars. I think retrofitting non-assisted brakes to a Toyota powered car would be relatively hard (and possibly not legal, since you'd have to remove the ABS). I don't like the setup of the Exige as much as the Elise either, for road use.

I've not driven a V6 yet, mind. I suppose that might change my mind.

I would like them to be cleaner as in a bit of resto on them but otherwise yes.

I have a nice example escort but when working on it wish the underside was a bit cleaner, same with most of my cars, problem is they get old and start to show there age. I look at the likes of detailing world which gets me thinking. All my cars are over ten years old which doesn't help!

Don't have a garage, but I'd rather have a 9-3 turbo X on my drive rather than an Aero. Just short of about £5.5k though.

Given what it cost, yes, I think so, but it's not what I really want. I've chosen to sacrifice driving something interesting now to make investments that will allow me to get something better in the future.

e46 330ci - no, for its size it has very limited space. a bit dull to drive depending on how im driving it and handling isnt overly great, but for what it cost me its probably the most suited car for what its used for

nissan terrano - no, guzzles fuel, slow as hell. but, it works very well in the snow, very well offroad when needed, and has stacks of room!!

mk indy - at the moment, also no. needs a load of jobs doing on it to get to it a standard to totally satisfy me, needs the geometry sorting and eventually a bit more power. but as it is, i do still love it, I cant imagine anything putting a bigger smile on my face (not a car anyway)

I plan to sell the e46 and terrano, get a hatchback scooby sti (space and 4wd) and probably a DS3 for her to use as a run about (she currently used the terrano for a 40mile round commute)

I am satisfied with what I have but that doesn't mean that I don't want more cars.

A DB7 Volante and an F430 Spider spring to mind.

I like my cars, but feel I am lacking a classic looking V12 powered, manual gearboxed mid-engined supercar with no driver aids. Ideally Miura shaped.

Yes and no!

Yes I love my car and feel very lucky to have it but I'm also pretty much at my financial limit, anything further is just fantasy.

However, I will always hold out hope that one day I will have a P1, new range rover and an atom side by side!

No, I've got an FN2 CTR and it's a bit of a compromise to be honest, I really wanted an M3 but budget wouldn't allow. I've only got space currently for one car and it's got to be capable of carrying the family around, covering 400 miles a week to and from work and being competent enough to have a little fun when the mood takes, it's got a cracking engine/gearbox combination but it could really do with an LSD to sort out the understeer if you get on the power too early exiting corners, the ride is crashy and doesn't fill you with confidence on anything but a silky smooth road and the brakes aren't really up to it as standard. I could spend a small fortune getting it to behave the way that I would like it to but is it really worth it? I will still be wishing I had a e92 M3 on the drive.
