Lightroom performance tips

Maybe somebody will find it useful. I'm still struggling with it being laggy so found this :

If you find it laggy I suggest it's your hardware rather than the program. I'm not one for quoting computer spec in detail but I have LR4 and CS6 running on my desktop and the only time I see any sort of delay is import from LR into CS (about 2 seconds to open) or when doing say a pano stitch of multiple images (up to about 20 seconds for a dozen full size RAW files). Other than that, every adjustment I've tried is immediate.
