Had to leavethe car outside for the last few nights, just discovered the carpet behind the drivers seat is absolutely sopping wet. I cant see where the rainwater is coming in through. The windows were closed. Anybody got a suggestion as to where the leak is likely to be?

Im starting to feel quite a vibration on heavy braking, there's no vibration in the pedal just juddering from the front part of the car.Does this point to warping of the discs and if so what is the likely cost of replacemnt

Nick, the juddering could be due to either warped discs or the front hubs (which hold the discs) are no longer running true. I had the same problem with my car where the front hubs (and eventually rear discs) had to be replaced. Expect this to cost around the thousand pound mark - however it might be worth having a discussion with the factory first.

Hi Nick,

When my car went in for its first service the dealership found the same problem with my car. Apparently, it was the rear window seal. They removed the window and resealed it. Is your car damp around the rear window?

I have also noticed that when washing the car, it is easy for water to get in to the vents on the top corners above the rear window.

Hope this helps.

Adrian

An interesting read.

The bedding in procedure outlined in the owners manual semms to be very important - hopefully I've done it right on mine.
