996TT has been layed up for 3 weeks. Covers off soon. Was wondering if I will see any change in the car ? When I parked up it was at the end of a 200 mile cane but I did let it cool down slowly for the last 20 miles. White smoke at start is likely but what else ? Hope the clonking from rear when I slam on the breaks is gone. Also as mine is Tip' is ther ever any need to replace gearbox oil ? Or Dif oil for that matter, car is a 43,000 miler ?

Souldn't notice much after only 3 weeks. The alarm will have shut down so you'll need to open it with the key and wake the neighbours up, but that's about it.

I sometimes leave my 993TT for two to three weeks. Most times its been absoutely fine. Last time the battery was flat though. There was just enough juice to open the doors.

All I will say is that the high pressure power steering/clutch/breaking hydraulic system ( The system that uses Pentosin III) will take a while to come back up to pressure. I know the 4WD 964s and 993s have this high pressure system but am not sure as to whether the 996TT has this or a more conventional system. With the air cooled stuff they used it due to package and lack of space for all the conventional servo stuff....
