Lidl single induction hob

Any good? They are flogging them for £20 in my local warehouse clearance shop at the moment.

I bought one a couple of years ago, I have been very pleased with it. We don't have gas at home and I hate trying to cook on slow, unresponsive electric hobs so tried out one of these before shelling out on a proper induction top install.

If you have a gas cooker I can't really see the point but it's way better than a conventional electric hob, just as controllable as gas and the timer is surprisingly useful.

We bought a Judge brand one for exactly the same reasons; to test the technology. Apart from the ferrous pans being very heavy, it works well. Can't find a decent compatible wok that lasts though.

There are mutterings about safety and pregnant women however.

They had a mountain of them yesterday. Might pop in and grab one if there's any left later in the week.

Well worth it, great as a back up hob and really useful for keeping stuff warm on the dining table.
