I'm thinking about Motoring what if.

What if chevrolet corvair has really good handling and was safe to drive... Would it lead to production of mid engine corvettes ?

What if Lord Stokes didn't promote to head of Leyland motor/rover company? Would it be successful without Union and lord stokes?

What if BL didn't bring out the Marnia/allegro?

What if Ivan Hirst didn't put in charge to help VW to produce beetle and VW company? Will we be still driving crappy british cars?

Wasn't the Corvair rear-engined? And there has been at least one mid-engined Corvette, although it was a racing prototype.
