Came across this on bookface and don't know what to make of it, yes too fast but safe by the police considering the conditions?

Title of the video no the best....

A bit silly, I seen that coming to be honest, I suppose they were speeding then again he was asking a bit much for them to be able to stop.

1st bike seemed to have time to stop, 2nd bike was obviously going too fast for the conditions, exactly why he would have been stopped!

my thoughts, surely you can wave them down from the side to allow a longer stopping distance?

doesn't look as good for the camera though

As I just mentioned on the youtube video thread, the first guy managed to stop fine.

The second guy wasn't paying attention, didn't see the brake lights, and was driving too fast for the visibility and conditions.

Thing is the police will say if he wasn't speeding etc and will void him of any blame.

Wonder if the idiot still dished out a ticket?

Very - if contact with the officer had have been made - due care?

I'm confused - there were cameras by the speed trap and on both of the bikes? Who has obtained all this footage and released it?

If real, the view from the second bike shows that he was travelling too fast for the conditions.

Its a road safety vid that went wrong, plus there is no speed limit on that stretch of road;)

I suspect lots of questions about risk assessments and the wisdom of trying to stop a vehicle known to be speeding by standing in it's path waving your arms.

Would not seem to be the most intelligent strategy?

Nonsense. The bottom line is that had the biker(s) not been speeding none of that would have happened.

That is clearly the bikers fault - not paying attention + going above a safe speed for the conditions = accident.

Also OP, an accident - in the title of your post - is something which just happens. This wasn't an accident, it was a crash caused by too high a speed of bike no.2 and monumental stupidity on the part of the copper.
