997 window reset?

The drivers side window on my 997.1 C4S is playing up, not dropping when I open the door, I've done a search on window issues and a few seem to digest going a reset but don't actually say what it is?

Close the window once and then press the up button again for a few seconds while the computer logs the final position. That's all. It's in the user manual of course.

BTW, it's probably the door micro-switch that's broken in your case - it's this sensor that initiates the window drop on opening. A very common problem and relatively easy to fix i.e. replace micro-switch.

Ok thanks, I'll try that. Might be the micro switch that's dicky but it's not doing it all the time.

My money is on the micro-switch. Actually I guess there should be 2 micro-switches (one inside and one outside). Does the problem occur when entering or leaving the car or both? This might give you a clue as to what's wrong. If it's an intermittent fault, it will almost certainly be a dicky switch.
