just browsing the local classifieds and stumbledd across this:

http://dubai.dubizzle.com/motors/used-cars/land-ro...

looks tidy but also very odd. can anyone shed any light whether this is a factory build and for what purpose? i've seen a couple of crazy rr 6 wheelers built for falconing but so far nothing like this.

biggrin

It might be so that the luggage area can be accessed without wind/sand/heat getting to the occupants?

It could be a factory build. Land Rover have had a specialist vehicles division for a long time and have done all sorts of oddball conversions for customers.

Looks like something by Glenfrome. They did all sorts of weird and wonderful. I have a book with a pic very similar to that one but can't find it on the net.

Townley is another contender for creating that. They did a lot of conversion for the Middle East markets.
