BMW 130i

I decided that I fancied a change from by Octavia vRS in the spring. I fancied my first venture into rear wheel drive and after a few months of looking I found this 130i and picked it up in August. So far so good, I absolutely love it. It is a step up in terms of performance from the Octavia and the handling is a different league. I managed to get a few picture whilst I was out for a quick hoon today. Let me know what you think.

Firstly this is the Octavia that has been replaced. Taken a few years ago.



Now for a few of the 130i, currently wearing its winter boots hence the 17's. Bonus points for anyone that can identify the location.

Lovely. Looks well specced too! Still considering myself whether to bother with winters as my current tyres seem to be coping fine and if it snows I won't be taking it out anyway!

Good step up from the VRS like you said (bar interior space) moved from a 1.4 Bora myself so imagine how I'm feeling ha ha.

The winters have been great but to be honest they're on there at the moment because they were left over from the vRS. Cheap set of BMW alloys combined with the winters that I had for the vRS was the easiest way of getting rid of the runcraps. Currently trying to decide what summers to put on, thinking either Michelin SuperSports or Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2s.

May as well have then like you said. I may be biased but from my short time owning the 130i i think they are massively under rated, feels like a very special car!

I'm sure your already on there but get over to babybmw.net for info, loaaads of threads on what the best tyres are too
