Blackvue DR380G-HD switch off speed display?

Does anybody know how to disable the speed readout on the files for this camera?
I've gone into the settings and switched the speed display off and the files are still stored with the speed on them. Even viewing the MP4 files saved on the SD card without the Blackvue software it still shows all the details.
