Hi,

I need to replace a headlamp bulb on my 95 Griff. I understand the OEM bulbs are Lucas LLB472 55/60 watt H4.
Should I stick with these or are than any better tried and tested options?

Also, I understand access is through the wheel arch. Straight forward or a pita (bearing in mind I'm a numpty with the spanners)?

Cheers.

I used osram 80% whiter. Much improved and a cheap upgrade. Don't worry about spanners, rear cover is screwed on.

Thanks 5.0ltr, can't find any osram bulbs that match that description unfortunately. Maybe discontinued?
I'll take a more in depth look tomorrow. Any excuse for a bit of work avoidance...

They are called osram night breaker. Philips did a similar thing. You said H4, I think they are H1? Anyone confirm?

^^^^^^^^^^

That's right. H4 is twin filament, the Griff uses the H1 single filament.

Thanks chaps. You are right: it is the H1 that I need. Just purchased these:

Looks like a good price too in case anyone needs spares. Looking forward to seeing if they make a difference.

Cheers, Stuart

Whilst your in there consider replacing the sidelights with LED equivalents. Quite cheap and give a nice brighter white light with a bit less heat inside the fairing
