My new toy picked up just before Christmas a '12 GT Edition 7 speed auto in pearlescent white, traded in a 350z manual that I just couldn't bond with.

Liking it so far would be nice to get a dry spell so I could play a bit more but nothing not to like, quite like the tiptronic 'box my daily is a DSG VRS Fabia and this is just a good , not so seamless through the shifts but not as jerky as the dsg from a standstill, like the DSG it has a manual mode and the flappy paddles also temporarily override the auto mode if you want to drop down or hold a gear

The "Edition" model comes with the anthracite coloured wheels, side stripes, more soundproofing to reduce the noise from those wide rear tyres and a tweaked suspension set up for better high speed stability apparently. This is a nicely specced one with sat nav, ipod connectivity on top of the GT pack.

Will change the exhaust later in the year and probably go for a up rev remap but extensive mods aren't really on the cards......for once

Nice, enjoy ive got the 7AT trans in mine too, cant quite get away with it yet, cruising on motorway literally just leave it in D, venture off the main roads it has to be in manual mode.

But agree on the exhaust, the car is far too quiet on the stock exhaust!

droooool. I would love one of these once i graduate, and then strip and rebuild the engine with twin turbos biggrin.
superb car. Personally I loved the 350z but this IMO is so much nicer with the flowing curves.

Test drove a manual before i bought the elise. Big comfy thing which had all the toys. Not what i wanted in the end but look very nice. Leave the traction on as very wafty on greasy roads.

Made a few changes

Fitted a set of Nissan mudguards came from the USA pre painted for less than Nissan wanted over here for the bare unpainted ones , also fitted a GTR start button and corrected the dreadful exhaust note with a cat-back Invidia Gemini system

The metal flake in the paint really pops in the sun

Love this shot. Do you know how the camera was mounted to the car? I'd love to have a go at doing a 'rig shot'.

Been a while since I updated but thought I'd take some pics before wrapping it up for the winter

So since 2014 I have fitted Eibach anti-roll bars and 25mm spacers, high flow cats, intake pipes and had the car remapped (Uprev)also fitted an aluminium undertray, re-profiled and re-trimmed steering wheel and Infiniti gearknob, as well as a host of other little mods. Best of all I replaced the dreadful OEM Bridgestone Potenzas for Michelin pilot super sports, highly recommended !
