Which way to go??

I have a early 90's jago sandero sat on my mums drive which is 90% assembled,but never been registered.
Q. Do i complete it as it should have been and suffer the sva? (I am in no great rush but if legislation keeps changing it will never be done
). Or sort out a cheep SJ 410/413 and convert to 4wd with a possible diesel conversion as well?
Other alternatives are buying another dare i say it jiggered jago already registered and swapping parts (body, mechs. etc) What do you think/suggest?

im not an expert but several areas would be a problem collapsable steering column doors as the locks arnt right and anything sharp at the front i'd guess there are lots more hassles - there are a few books around like the one advertised in kit car mag which would be worth a good read to check whether you are prepared to try and get it through sva i dont know of a jago that has passed sva - does anyone know any different?
Regards Jago's and SVA's it will be very difficult and expensive. The only one I know of that passed an SVA was when the scheme was first introduced and there were several exemptions that could be applied to the vehicle. It only just got through then and those exemptions are no longer allowed.

The easier option is really to consider getting an SJ that has got a rotten body but good chassis and mechanics and switch the body over and just inform the DVLA that the SJ has had a fibreglass body kit fitted.

Yes the early Daihatsu Fourtraks also make good donors regards the chassis and running gear to convert a Jago body.
At one point in the club we had a blue petrol version and a red diesel version.
I believe the red one was on ebay a month or two ago. Not sure whether it sold and for how much but it was a fine example of a conversion.
