if anybody has been to Tower View in the last week or so, that lovely BRG Griffith they got sitting in the corner of the workshop is mine. Thats the good bit
The bad bit is....its sitting in the corner of the workshop!!

How long can it take the DVLA to send out the new bleeding V5??? Been waiting over a week now.

I would mind but Ive off to france for a week next friday and I was/am expecting to be driving the thing down there!!! If it aint done by Wed Im going to have to buy plane tickets instead and use the hire car my friends have got (

Oh and u should see the roads around our place in France ))) Petrol heaven.

You don't need the new V5 before taking the car, surely? Otherwise every sale would take 2-3 weeks.
Or did I miss something?

No reg doc and you cant get road tax these days.

One point, if the car your waiting to buy is waiting for its reg doc due to a cherished plate transfer, then if the dealer is in possesion of the small green section of the V5 you CAN still apply for road tax at a main DVLA tax office if you fill out a V62 (the £19 fee does not apply to this)

I got road tax without a V5 when I bought my Griff. They check via the DVLA computer. If you are on there as registered keeper all's fine. Take some ID though. You have to tax it in one of the local DVLA offices.
