Well of course the original wedge had a Ford 2.8 V6 with Bosch mechanical fuel injection (ex Ford Capri or Granada),
and then TVR offered a 4 cyl option - the Ford 2.0 OHC 4 cyl engine from the Cortina/Granada.

That's before all the owner mods and swops....

I considered seriously putting an LS3 in my TVR 450SE. A firm in Holland has done it. However, with the limitations of different languages, I gathered that the chassis had to be changed to fit a suitable gearbox. Perhaps someone else has more details.

Always loved the Holden motors after seeing the V8 racing in Australia yes Is that a similar motor to the White Elephant? What sort of numbers are you getting from the engine btw?

Hi Chris - yes you've got that bang on. The old girl gives 380lb ft of torque with just short of 200bhp at 1800rpm and a little over 380lb ft of torque with 440bhp on full chat.

Was only thinking about thorpedo the other day.Anybody know what engine it was running?,and what happened to it.Remember seeing it on ebay good while ago.As regards to another thread about chassis strength a while ago, the wedge chassis looks very strong.Looks more substantial to me than the earlier cars chassis and the griff 200 put 270 odd horse power through it.These engine swap and chassis strength threads have got me thinking. Saw an early 280i for sale no engine and gearbox mmmm...creative juices flowing wink

The corvette LS3 is super smooth performing engine capable of moving a Wedge way beyond any speed I would like to be a part ofsmile

This guys gear changes don't equate to the engine. weird.

Henry,

I'm sure you can fit a 'built' T5 behind a GM V8 and the T5 is a small box.

Just choose one with the stick in the correct location.

I have a T5 behind my 6.4L Ford V8.

The car's twice as heavy as your wedge so your T5 will last forever the way you drive biglaugh
