Mrs Hythan has got a Renault Clio 2004 as a runaround. Picked it up today knowing I had to do a few things to it to get it up to scratch.

One of the things I need to do is get hold of the little wheel that adjusts the angle of the backrest on both front seats. But what do I search for?

I've tried "Drivers seat rake adjustment wheel" "Drivers seat adjuster", "Drivers seat wheel"

No joy.

I've found the entire seat to purchase but all I need is the little wheel to adjust it!

I'm wondering if the best option is to just go to a Renault dealer? I can't imagine they are that expensive.

Any ideas?

Find a car that's breaking for spares and send them an email. Alternatively Call Renault and ask what its called, alternatively go to a scrapyard and take it off and put it in your pocket and pretend you couldn't find what you were after....

Try either a dealer or a specific forum to get a part number for it, failing that you could always nip to your local scrappy and have a look.

Edit: what he said ^

Seat tilt knob, adjuster or something similar. But ultimately yes just get it from Renault, they are pretty good at little things like this. 30p for a little clip for the parcel shelf on a Twingo which I thought was good and also had no idea what to search for online. Googling "little clip thingy that goes on the inside of the boot and connects the parcel shelf string to it for a Renault Twingo" got surprisingly rubbish results. Bloke at the parts counter was better than Google by far.

Haha, it's funny how vast the internet is but when it comes to things like this it can be almost useless!

Advice received and taken. Renault dealer it is.

Thanks everyone.

I thought Clio's have handles rather than wheels for adjusting the seats?

Try "renault clio seat handle" on a generic auction website.

Gold star.

Have them listed under that exact title. So it must be a handle then rather than a wheel. Anyone with a Clio who can confirm? (Before I wander off to Renault Clio's R us forum?)

Just text a friend who used to own a Clio and she has confirmed that it is indeed a lever. Thanks everyone.

I have a 2004 clio and it does indeed have a handle to adjust the seat.
