Is that a John Eales alternator mount? If so, how much shorter is the belt from standard?

Thanks, that is nice of you. I have in the past suffered from belt slip on my SC installation. It's a good one to have in my pocket being able to set my own belt tension and have increased belt coverage on the crank pulley would eliminate this issue. Any regrets fitting this alternator mounting system?

Your welcome wink no regrets fitting this at all, contrary to popular belief you don't need sprung loaded tensioner to keep a Serp belt tensioned correctly just use the 90 degree twist on the longest run method to pre load the belt nerd

Looks like Pod then when its built ,can you get a roller cam for the RV8, not just solid lifters.. What are the gains with solid lifters ,do you have to adjust them all the time ?

You can get a roller cam for the RV8 Daz smile but beyond my budget frown gains vary with solid cams read different motors different gains wink and adjusting valve clearances once a year is not an issue for me once the initial cam brake in and re-check is carried out scratchchin its also a very good way of finding out if you are suffering valve train woes i.e cam/follower premature failure etc Feeler Gauges don't lie scratchchin obviously not why I am going solid though rolleyes
