I have finnaly gutted the car and removed the worst smelling carpets ever sniffed vomit, I have removed all the old sound/heat material as it was very tiered and clearly been water damaged, like areas off my p*ss stained carpets as well.

Question is what is deemed effective particularly for the transmission tunnel? I am Le mans Classic bound this year and do not want to be cooked by the July heat.

Cheers Scotty

You do realise that if you go to all that trouble you will be condeming it to be the coldest and wettest Le Mans classic ever and that would be saying something after the 2012 event.

2010 on the other hand was boiling.

I hope not boxedin

Any way use Scots are used to a little wet hehe

After my 2010 euro jaunt in my chimaera I will not cook again.

Think I have got the stuff I need for free thanks to a fellow pher and my mot tester.... smile

Sourced from B&Q it is under floor insulation with foil on one side and much cheaper than automotive stuff I have came across, lots of kit car guys seem to use it.

Will report back when its roasting hot smile
