Have just learnt that the former owner of our local VW/Audi chain of dealerships recently purchased a new Vanquish - his 2nd new Aston apparently. Evidently an R8 is not good enough for him wink

Anyone else aware of unlikely AM owners who couldn't resist the best of British?

Didn't Jordan have a pink DB9?
And Ian Wright Wright Wright had a Dunhill DB7?
(thank you Top Gear repeats on Dave for both of those)

Please tell me this isn't true because I am no way ready to sell my Aston yet. Does the fact that mine is a V8V make the association weak enough such that I can keep it? The used DB9 market is about to be flooded. Your depreciation curve is about to become a cliff. yikes

Going off topic but love it when people don't realise you're the owner.
I came back to my DB9 at a car park and there were 5 or 6 youths standing round takng pics of each other aroung it, I said to one of them, you'd be really embarrassed if the owner came along to which they all laughed, I then unlocked the car. The looks on there faces was priceless....

I can relate to that - I picked up a friend the other day and said "of all the cars in this car park, which do you fancy a go in".. "got to be the aston.." smile

Slash - ex Guns and Roses. Has had many Astons - surprised me when I first found out as would have thought they were too understated for him
Sly Stallone - had a NP Vanquish - Kahn-ed up though. It was for sale last year.
Stirling Moss' wife - Cygnet!

Samuel Eto'o has a One-77 and a V12 Zagato apparently. And in very tasteful specs. Surprising for a footballer!

Some months ago I made three failed attempts to drive an F.Type . On each occasion the dealership let me down resulting in no drive. At the time my interest was slight. After the exemplary service that I have received from H.R.Owen Aston Martin in Cheltenham my slight interest was reduced to Nil !

Seems very confused. I'm always suspicious of people who take a beautiful design created by a genius and think "I reckon I can make that better by randomly inserting leather/carbon/shinies". Whether that be a Masonry Vanquish S or a leather cover for their iPad.
