Drivers Race Numbers

There have been some Tweets about drivers race numbers for this year. Apparently Jenson is going to be 22 as thats the number he won the Championship with. Does anyone know how the system works for those drivers that want the same number?

The driver who finished higher in last year's championship would get preference.

Position in championship dictates order of choice ie Fernando 2nd got to choose his number(14) after vettel had made his choice(not announced yet). Each driver picked three numbers and the selection process set in order.
